SPECIFICATIONS
(1):The strength of the magnetic field is based on the distance between the adaptive magnetic ring array and the spool induction rotor. As both components are dynamic, the spacing will be closer the faster the spool rotates and in turn increase the braking force.
(2):Under high RPM: The spool induction rotor will rotate due to a cam mechanism be allowed to move closer to the adaptive magnetic ring array. This will cause a strong Lorentz force which in turn attracts the magnets on the adaptive magnetic ring array inducing a strong braking force.
(3):Under low RPM: The spool induction rotor is farther away from the adaptive magnetic ring array and the braking force is reduced
SEBS Array Adaptive Magnetic Brake System
The SEBS Magnetic Brake system utilizes two adaptive system components to generate braking forces. 8 strong magnets shaped in an adaptive ring array create a dynamic magnetic field. The spool induction rotor assembly rotates in and out of the adaptive ring array, depending on the spool RPM, creating a Lorentz force that in turn induces a braking force on the spool
